A Simple Favor Soundtrack Playlist

     A Simple Favor was such a delightful ode to the whodunit murder mystery film noir of days past. This film oozes style and retro chic. But it also has great character work. Think of it like an American pop art take on Diabolique, a film referenced in the dialogue. I never knew Paul Feig had such regard for cinema history, with his raunchy Melissa McCarthy vehicles and SNL comedy-isms. But this film, with it's genre subverting premise and Omega becomes Alpha character arc, was such fun and came out of nowhere I had to write about it. And I also had to share it's wonderful mod French pop soundtrack.

You guys should know by now how much of a Francophile I am and this soundtrack mixes everything from Jacques Dutronc to Serge Gainsbourg to M.O.P. to Lou Vega back to France Gall and Francoise Hardy. It's something my genre bending mind would concoct in a mix let alone a film.
